We are currently recruiting for a Care Team Leader (Days) to join a beautiful country house care home set within seven acres of landscaped gardens in Dawlish, South Devon.

Working closely with the Care Manager, you will play a key role in leading the day team, ensuring outstanding standards of care are consistently delivered while supporting and developing your colleagues.

The RoleAs Care Team Leader, you will lead the care team during your shift, ensuring high standards of care are maintained while providing guidance, support and leadership to colleagues. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating the day shift to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintaining and continually improving the quality of care provided
- Promoting dignity, independence and person-centred care at all times
- Mentoring, supporting and supervising care staff through observations and coaching
- Creating and updating electronic care plans and risk assessments
- Assisting with rota management and ensuring shifts remain safely staffed
- Liaising with GPs, Nurses, Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals
- Supporting the Care Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, including covering additional shifts where required
- Completing allocated leadership responsibilities during protected administration time
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential)
- Willingness to work towards Level 4 Leadership & Management following successful probation
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Care Team Leader within elderly residential care
- Passionate about delivering exceptional, person-centred care
- Strong leadership, mentoring and communication skills
- Experience supporting and developing less experienced care staff
- Organised, reliable and able to confidently lead a shift
- Committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and resident wellbeing
