Seekers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a busy, independent first-opinion small animal practice seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their close-knit team. This role offers the opportunity to fully utilise your nursing skills within a supportive and well-equipped environment. The practice benefits from modern facilities and a varied caseload, including advanced diagnostic equipment such as ultrasound, digital X-ray, dental suite, in-house laboratory, and endoscopy. The premises include multiple consult rooms, theatres, inpatient wards, and dedicated nursing and support areas.
The ideal candidate will:
- Place strong emphasis on client care and patient welfare
- Be confident conducting nurse consultations and managing admissions and discharges
- Actively participate in anaesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing
- Provide high standards of inpatient care and recovery
- Be comfortable with laboratory work and clinical administration
- Support junior team members and student nurses
- Bring enthusiasm and ideas to help develop the practice
- Thrive within a small, collaborative team
The role offers:
- 4-day working week (08:30–18:30)
- Shared on-call rota: 1 in 4 weekends (Friday evening, Saturday & Sunday)
- 1–2 weekday evenings per month
- On-call support for the vet only, with generally quiet out-of-hours work
- Shared overnight hospitalisation duties with time off in lieu
- Varied and engaging caseload
