Nurse Seekers are excited to be working with a lovely independent school in Tadworth, Surrey, who are looking for a School Nurse to join their friendly pastoral and medical team. This is a great role for a caring, confident nurse who enjoys working with children and being part of a close-knit school community.
The Role
- You’ll be the go-to person for pupils’ health and wellbeing during the school day. This includes:
- Providing first aid, day-to-day medical support and a calm, safe space for pupils
- Administering and recording medication
- Keeping accurate records, including accidents and daily medical visits
- Acting as Deputy Safeguarding Lead and helping keep staff up to date with safeguarding guidance
- Coordinating attendance checks and supporting with school reports
- Helping create and update healthcare plans and school healthcare policies
- Liaising with parents and external professionals when needed
- Supporting staff with trip medical info, first aid kits and basic training
- Helping with vaccination programmes and keeping the medical room stocked, clean and organised
About You
- We’re looking for someone who is:
- NMC registered (RGN, RSCN, RMN or equivalent)
- Calm, approachable and able to work independently
- Comfortable supporting children with both medical and emotional needs
- A good communicator who can prioritise well and stay organised
School, paediatric or safeguarding experience is a bonus, but not essential.
