The Role
As a
Senior Care Assistant (Days) , you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of outstanding care while providing day-to-day leadership to the care team.
Working alongside colleagues, you will ensure residents receive compassionate, person-centred care while promoting their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
You will also provide guidance and support to junior members of the team, helping to maintain the highest standards of care throughout the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
- Supporting residents with personal care whilst promoting dignity and independence.
- Assisting with daily living activities and encouraging social engagement.
- Leading, mentoring and supporting members of the care team.
- Monitoring residents' wellbeing and responding appropriately to changing needs.
- Maintaining accurate care plans, records and documentation.
- Promoting a safe, welcoming and homely environment.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure exceptional standards of care are maintained.
About You
We're looking for an experienced and compassionate care professional who enjoys supporting others and leading by example.
You will have
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or an experienced Care Assistant ready to progress.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
- Experience supporting older people within a residential care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to motivate and support colleagues.
- A caring, reliable and proactive approach.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional person-centred care.
