We are seeking a kind, compassionate, and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. You’ll work 1:1 with a bright, intelligent, and bubbly young lady in her 20s, supporting her in her family home, delivering individualised, patient-centred care.
Location: Family Home – Chelmsford (Mid Essex)
Pay: £32 per hour
Hours: 18 hrs/wk no weekends or nights
Shifts: 9am–6pm
Days: Monday & Thursday (negotiable)

About the Role
Your role will involve providing 1:1 nursing support to a young lady, delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You’ll be assisting with her daily tasks and activities, whilst carrying out nursing duties including administering prescribed medications, monitoring for signs of illness or sepsis, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. You will work closely with her family and wider healthcare team, making clinical decisions where appropriate, to ensure safe, consistent, and compassionate care. You’ll have the time to truly get to know the person you’re caring for, allowing you to build a meaningful, long-term relationship, in a supportive environment, where your work is appreciated and truly makes a difference. You’ll have the space to slow down, the freedom to focus on one individual, and the time to ensure every clinical need is met with precision and compassion. Ongoing support and paid specialist training opportunities are provided, allowing you to continue growing professionally while delivering high-quality care.
Main duties and Responsibilities
- Ordering & Administering IV medication
- Clinical observations, monitoring for illness/sepsis or any infections.
- Coordinating and liaising with medical professionals
- Support accessing community or attending any hospital appointments
- Assisting with care needs, including personal care.
- Maintain clinical documentation
What we are looking for
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and committed registered nurse with a caring nature, engaging personality, who is confident in handling emergencies and making professional decisions independently. This is a permanent position, therefore we are seeking someone looking for long term employment. You will work 1:1, alone with the young lady for a majority of your shift, providing nursing care whilst taking part in fun activities like baking, painting or watching films, therefore ideally you’re a likeminded individual with similar interests, who enjoys building strong relationships, whilst maintaining a professional approach.
Skills & qualifications
- Female RGN with a valid UK NMC pin, no restrictions
- Recognised UK Nursing qualification
- Full clean UK Driving License
- Own a car and be willing to drive
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of relevant or complex care, eg Community, ICU, Palliative etc, is desirable however we welcome applicants from various specialisms or general backgrounds.
This position is funded through an NHS CHC package, on a PAYE basis. Full training, and insurance will be paid and provided as part of your role, as well a DBS.
