We are a recruitment agency working on behalf of our client, who is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a newly established solo placement Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children's home in Swindon. This is a rare opportunity to take full responsibility for a small, highly focused service supporting one young person with complex needs. You will play a key role in shaping the home from the ground up and ensuring outstanding, child-centred care is delivered at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children's home
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations
  • Provide strong, supportive leadership to staff and external professionals
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans for the young person
  • Promote a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment
  • Drive continuous improvement and high standards of care
  • Manage safeguarding, risk assessments and quality assurance processes

About You

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in children's residential care
  • Strong understanding of EBD, trauma-informed practice and safeguarding
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
