Role Description — Chef (Part-Time, On-Site)

Location: Nur Café, Manchester Deansgate

We are looking for a talented, passionate Chef to join our team. You’ll lead the preparation and presentation of dishes that reflect our brand’s vibrant Middle Eastern influence while maintaining top-quality standards. You’ll have the freedom to bring creative flair and evolve our offering alongside a supportive and ambitious team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of fresh meals with authentic, high-quality ingredients
• Oversee kitchen operations and ensure smooth, efficient service
• Plan and contribute to seasonal and culturally-inspired menus
• Uphold the highest food safety and sanitation standards
• Maintain excellent presentation and consistency across dishes
• Work collaboratively with the team to drive culinary excellence

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar Chef or Cook role
• Culinary training or professional certification preferred
• Strong understanding of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and compliance
• Creative approach to food design and presentation
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Appreciation for Arabic cuisine and cultural traditions (a big plus!)
