Nuova Italia in Ilchester, Yeovil is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. Full time or part time hours available. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a friendly kitchen team. You'll play an important role in keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly, supporting our chefs and the wider team throughout service.

The Role

  • Washing up and keeping kitchen equipment clean
  • Keeping kitchen areas, floors and work surfaces clean and tidy
  • Helping with deliveries and putting stock away
  • Preparing basic ingredients when required
  • Emptying bins and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Supporting the chefs and kitchen team during busy services
  • Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
  • Helping with general kitchen duties as needed

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and has a positive attitude. You don't necessarily need previous kitchen experience, what's most important is that you're willing to learn, work as part of a team and get stuck in when things get busy. Previous experience in a restaurant, pub, hotel or professional kitchen would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right person.
