VP Engineering, AI-Driven B2B SaaS (Series B)
Join an AI-native B2B company that has just raised Series B funding and is hiring a VP Engineering to lead the next phase of growth.
This is a true VPE role (not CTO), reporting to the CEO, and is responsible for scaling the engineering organisation from to 30+ over the next 12–18 months.

- Tackling complex engineering challenges – The company builds advanced tools that help engineers address problems once considered too difficult or resource-intensive using conventional approaches. These solutions span areas such as performance optimisation, safety testing, and advanced materials.
- Speeding up innovation cycles – The company’s technology is designed to shorten the journey from concept to launch. By equipping engineers with powerful AI-driven capabilities, it enables faster progress across all stages of product development.

The Role
As VP Engineering you will own:
- Tech Roadmap & Execution: Define, drive, and deliver the roadmap in alignment with product and company strategy.
- Team Leadership & Growth: Attract, hire, onboard, and retain top engineering talent.
- Engineering Excellence: Instil strong architectural direction, lean processes, and delivery discipline across teams.
You’ll be both strategic and hands-on, leading from the front technically and organisationally.
Ideal Profile
- 12–15 years total experience: Started out as a hands-on engineer; transitioned into leading teams, then managers.
- Built it: Deep technical experience in at least two of the following:
- Software Engineering (Cloud/SaaS)
- Data Architecture
- Applied AI (Application layer)
- Scale exposure: Has led engineering orgs of 30+ and experienced scale-up growth on both technical and commercial sides.
- Outcome-driven: Understands engineering as a lever for business value – makes tradeoffs based on customer impact, ROI, and velocity.
