Senior API Product Manager | Series C FinTech | London (Hybrid)
A well-funded Series C fintech with one of the deepest datasets in institutional financial markets is opening that data up to the market, and needs a product manager to build the channel from scratch.
Today most clients use the web app. A fast-growing set of quant desks, systematic investors and data engineering teams want the data programmatically instead, through REST APIs, data feeds and Snowflake. At comparable providers that channel is 20-30% of revenue. Here it's barely begun, and it's yours to build.
This is a genuine 0-to-1 role sitting between platform engineering and commercial strategy. You'll own how the data gets packaged, priced and delivered, working across every data domain and shipping through influence rather than a dedicated squad.
What you'll do
- Set the vision and roadmap for external APIs, data shares and cloud-native delivery.
- Shape the commercial model: packaging, tiering and entitlements.
- Design the developer experience end to end: API design, docs, rate limiting, versioning.
- Co-develop with enterprise clients through pilots and POCs.
- Partner with analytics engineering on schemas, data models and pipelines.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years in product, 2+ building external B2B APIs or data products end to end.
- Real technical depth in REST API design, auth, versioning and ETL/ELT. This is the non-negotiable.
- Enough SQL and Python to interrogate data yourself.
- A commercial head for pricing, packaging and how enterprises buy data.
- The ability to land a roadmap through influence, not authority.
Nice to have: financial or capital-markets data, Snowflake or Databricks data sharing, entitlements/licensing frameworks.
