The Opportunity An $11M seed-funded AI Lab is seeking a Founding Quant to join the two co-founders (ex-Silicon Valley exit entrepreneurs) to build the firm's trading arm from scratch.
While the market focuses on LLMs, this lab is building Predictive Intelligence —autonomous agents capable of monitoring market data and predicting changes 4–5 seconds out with high conviction.
What you will build:
- The Engine: You will build the track record that allows the firm to raise a full institutional fund next year.
- The Strategies: End-to-end ownership of Alpha Generation, Research, and Execution.
- The Future: While the immediate application is HFT, the core technology is being designed for deployment in Robotics and Edge Computing.
The Founders:
- The CEO: A serial entrepreneur with multiple high-profile exits to household names in Search and Social Media . He brings the spark, the network, and the capital.
- The CTO: The technical anchor who operationalizes genius ideas into scalable, bulletproof systems.
The Role This is not a siloed role at a massive multi-strat where you optimize one parameter of an existing model. You will sit between the exchange and the code.
- Execution: Own the trade lifecycle. If the agent has conviction, it trades.
- Scale: We are testing at small scale; your goal is to deploy the VC capital and scale volume significantly.
The Profile
- Pedigree: Top-tier university background.
- Background: Currently at a top shop but tired of the bureaucracy.
- Tech: Strong Python (Research/Data) + Proficiency in C++ (Low Latency/Opt).
The Offer Significant Base Salary £150-200k + Equity + P&L Bonus.
