We are exclusively partnering with a highly innovative consumer tech powerhouse to find a deeply technical, hands-on Director of Product. You will lead the next phase of growth for a brand-new, highly personalised consumer app backed by a major household name. The product is built and currently in beta. We now need an exceptional, delivery-focused product leader to step in and scale this agentic AI-powered app. Working alongside an elite engineering squad, you will leverage LLMs to simplify complex everyday problems and deliver tangible, money-saving value to consumers. This isn't about high-level strategic oversight: it’s about hands-on execution and massive consumer impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive the growth of a highly personalised consumer app from its current beta testing phase to hundreds of thousands of active users.
- Operate in a 70% execution-heavy capacity - getting into the weeds to ship features and deliver technology products rather than sitting back in pure strategy.
- Partner directly with a VP of Engineering and a top-tier squad to leverage LLMs and complex data sets.
- Line-manage and mentor a hyper-focused, lean team of 1-2 Product Managers.
- Carve out highly nuanced, data-driven journeys to help consumers make complex, money-saving everyday decisions.
What They’re Looking For
- Essential
- Consumer Scale Expertise: You MUST have a proven track record of scaling B2C digital products to large consumer bases. (Please note: pure B2B SaaS backgrounds will not be considered).
- Deeply Technical & AI-Native: Hands-on experience building and running products that leverage LLMs, automation, and agentic AI functionality.
- Execution DNA: You are a highly effective deliverer of technology products who thrives on 'cat-wrangling' and getting things done.
- Startup Agility: The ability to balance rigorous intentionality with the urgency of a startup, driving rapid shipping within a larger parent company.
- Data-Driven Personalisation: Exceptional ability to use high-volume, individualised data sets to drive genuine customer value.
Nice to Have
- A genuine passion for green tech and creating innovative ways to put consumers in control of their energy footprint and bills.
Why Join Us?
This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a household name. Here, you’ll find challenging work, a fast-paced environment, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact. With support from the wider parent group's massive resources and expertise, you’ll have the tools and autonomy to completely drive this initiative and grow as a leader and product professional in a highly entrepreneurial setting.
