IT Manager

IT Manager

Full-Time On-site
N

Location: UK (hybrid, London HQ plus regular travel to venues)

Type: Full-time, permanent

Reports to: Head of IT & Systems

The opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing, Series A-backed hospitality brand running a growing estate of venues across the UK. As they scale, they are splitting internal IT out from product engineering and need a hands-on IT Manager to run day-to-day technology for everyone at HQ and in the venues.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll work within an IT operating model set by the Head of IT & Systems and put it into practice on the ground. When something breaks, you’re the first person people call, and you make sure it doesn’t break again. You’ll be visible across the business and comfortable supporting non-technical teams in a busy, customer-facing environment.

What you’ll do

Run Tier 1 and 2 support across HQ and venues: triage, ticketing, resolution and escalation against agreed SLAs

Own joiners, movers and leavers: accounts, devices, access and licences set up on day one and removed on the last

Administer Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Figma and the wider SaaS stack, including SSO and group-based access

Manage Mac and Windows devices through MDM: enrolment, patching, encryption, endpoint protection and asset records

Enforce baseline security: MFA, password management, phishing protection and least-privilege access

Support office and venue networking (Ubiquiti), working alongside venue ops and suppliers

Get every new venue IT-ready against a repeatable opening checklist

Track licences, renewals and procurement, and spot waste and savings

Keep runbooks, documentation and the asset register up to date

Automate repetitive admin with Google Apps Script, Python or similar

Support backup, disaster recovery and GDPR controls for internal systems

What you won’t own: IT strategy, budget or hiring; product engineering or product security; the operations systems roadmap (though you’ll support it).

What you’ll bring

3+ years in hands-on IT, including at least a year owning day-to-day IT for a growing organisation

Strong Google Workspace admin, plus SSO and identity management across a SaaS stack

MDM experience (Jamf, Kandji, Intune or Google endpoint management) across Mac and Windows

Practical security knowledge: endpoint protection, MFA, access reviews

UK-based with right to work, and happy to travel regularly to venues

Nice to have: multi-site experience (hospitality, retail or events); Ubiquiti UniFi; Auth0; scripting; managing MSPs and suppliers; GDPR and Cyber Essentials/Plus; exposure to EPOS, inventory or scheduling platforms.

What success looks like

30 days: every device and account is in the asset register, and onboarding and offboarding run from a single checklist

60 days: MFA is enforced everywhere, and tickets are tracked against SLAs

90 days: the venue readiness checklist has been used on an opening or refit, at least two manual tasks are automated, and a licence review has delivered measurable savings
