This is a Forward Deployed Product Manager role at a well-backed, AI-native B2B software company in London.

This is for the rare product builder who ships like an engineer and thinks like a founder.

An engineer and, often, a research scientist around a real customer problem, on short build-and-ship cycles.

You set direction, shape the product, and take it from a real customer problem to a shipped, validated, revenue-generating outcome.

Your job is to understand the customer deeply and turn world-class science and deep technical work, built alongside researchers, into a product people actually want to use.

It is some of the most interesting building you will do.

Real time with real customers, understanding the problem first-hand, then turning it into product with a strong UX.

Ownership of the strategy, build and commercial outcome for a core product surface, end to end.

Shipping and validating with real customers on a fast, monthly cadence.

Carrying a capability from concept to production, then to revenue, then to the customer running it themselves.

Setting the standard for how the team uses AI to design and ship product.

You are a genuine product builder who ships.

Your edge is customer discovery and UX: you get to the real problem by talking to customers, and you have the design instinct to turn it into a product they love.

You are AI-native to the core, fluent with modern AI build tools, and you use them to design, prototype and ship fast, with judgement on where embedded AI wins and where it does not.

If you have led product and miss building, this is your way back in.

Two people are being hired, with complementary strengths, one weighted to customer discovery and UX, and one stronger at building agentic AI workflows.

Flat, lean, AI-native, high trust, short build-and-ship cycles, real customer contact, decisions made in the room.

In office three days a week in London.

It is not a stepping stone to managing a team. You will be paid and elevated for building, with room to stretch for the right person, plus meaningful equity.

Hybrid, London, three days a week in office.

How to prepare for a job interview at numi

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If numi uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
