We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen operation within our stylish boutique hotel located in the Southside of Glasgow. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing restaurant service, events and seasonal outdoor dining.
Working closely with the General Manager, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a small kitchen team, ensuring consistently high standards across all food offerings including restaurant dining, private events and garden food service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, motivate and develop a small kitchen team through hands-on management
- Oversee all food preparation and service for:
- Hotel restaurant
- Private dining and banqueting events
- Outdoor/garden food service
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a hotel, premium restaurant or events venue
- Strong banqueting and events experience is essential
- Proven ability to lead a small team in a hands-on operational role
- Experience managing multiple food outlets/service styles simultaneously
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong understanding of stock control, food cost management and kitchen administration
- Passion for fresh, high-quality food and excellent customer experience
- Flexible approach to working hours, mainly evenings and weekends
