About Numan Founded in 2018, we’ve already grown to be a 300+ team distributed across the globe, united by a singular mission: empowering people to take control of their health. Numan is transforming health: we’ve built a cutting-edge platform that integrates diagnostics, medication, supplements, digital programmes, and doctor consultations. Giving people the tools they need to maximise life. To deliver on our transformative mission, we are guided by our 5 company values: Patients first. Learn fast. Own the quality. Succeed together. Care deeply.

The role As a Product Designer at Numan, you will work as part of a cross-functional product team, becoming the go-to expert for understanding our patients in your squad. Your knowledge of patient needs, motivations and behaviours will help shape product strategy and contribute to business objectives that solve meaningful health challenges for real people. You’ll work closely with product managers, clinical experts, engineers and design colleagues to develop patient-centred solutions. You will be accountable for research and design from start to finish, advocating and driving a collaborative design process. This includes discovering patient needs through research and clinical data insights, organising and facilitating ideation sessions with stakeholders and colleagues, then prototyping and validating ideas with real users. Your work will lead to ongoing, measurable product improvements that support both patient outcomes and business success metrics.

You’ll be:

  • The primary advocate for patients within your product area, understanding their health goals, motivations, behaviours, and barriers.
  • Planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative user research, partnering closely with research and clinical specialists to balance behavioural, attitudinal and clinical data.
  • Analysing research findings and health outcomes to identify patient pain points and opportunities, translating these into actionable product ideas that support long-term behaviour change and improved outcomes.
  • Contributing actively to product ideation through workshops and collaborative design-led activities with relevant stakeholders from across the business.
  • Creating high-quality design artefacts such as service blueprints, user flows, experience maps, interactive prototypes and interface designs that communicate and deliver safe, effective and trustworthy experiences.
  • Working openly and collaboratively, integrating product, design, and engineering with clinical and regulatory constraints in mind.
  • Offering constructive feedback within your team and collaborating effectively across disciplines.
  • Advocating for design thinking and patient-centred care within your team and helping colleagues appreciate the value of good design in healthcare.
  • Supporting the definition of success metrics that combine clinical outcomes with user engagement and retention, and using a mix of user-centred and data-driven insights to iterate designs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct user research, balancing behavioural science, usability and ethical constraints, with assistance from clinical and research specialists.
  • Analyse data and insights from qualitative research and health outcomes to identify opportunities that drive product improvement and patient benefit.
  • Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritise and align on product direction.
  • Develop detailed design deliverables — service blueprints, experience maps, user journeys, prototypes, and UI designs — that guide development and ensure patient safety and trust.
  • Work transparently with engineers, clinicians, product managers and content designers to ensure feasibility, regulatory compliance and seamless delivery.
  • Provide constructive, timely feedback to peers, fostering a culture of design excellence within your team.
  • Support efforts to define and measure success using a combination of clinical, behavioural and business KPIs, iterating on designs based on these insights.
  • Collaborate broadly with marketing, clinical operations and content teams to deliver consistent, aligned experiences across the patient journey.
