The role:
We are looking for an ambitious and analytically minded individual to join our FP&A team. This role will play an important part in strengthening management reporting, delivering clear commercial insights and supporting planning processes across the business. Working closely with the Senior FP&A Manager and stakeholders across Product, Operations and Leadership, you will help improve how financial and operational performance is understood and communicated. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data and contributing to scalable reporting and planning processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What you'll do:
- Produce and continuously elevate weekly flash reports, monthly trading packs, and KPI reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand their data needs, translating financial and operational metrics into concise narratives that highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support the preparation of high-impact presentations for leadership, board members, and investors.
- Support the annual budgeting, reforecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Maintain and improve dynamic forecasting models, assumptions, and planning methodologies.
- Conduct scenario modeling and ad-hoc planning exercises to improve forecast accuracy and business agility.
- Deliver robust financial modeling and ad-hoc analysis to evaluate new initiatives, investments, and growth opportunities.
- Build business cases and perform scenario analyses to assess commercial risks and returns, turning complex datasets into clear recommendations.
- Challenge existing processes to simplify, automate, and scale how Finance supports the business.
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to boost productivity and advance reporting capabilities.
- Work closely with Data and cross-functional teams to improve data quality and access to information.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business analytics, or a highly analytical corporate role.
- Exposure to a fast-paced environment—experience within Technology, Digital Health, Subscription, or D2C businesses is highly advantageous but not essential.
- Solid exposure to management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and maintain complex, scalable financial models.
- Confidence working with large datasets; experience using BI/visualisation tools like Power BI, Looker, or similar.
- Highly proficient or eager to leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to optimize workflows.
- Ability to simplify complex data and confidently present insights to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- A proactive problem-solver who naturally connects financial analysis to real-world business outcomes.
- Comfortable operating and thriving in an evolving, fast-paced environment.
- Enjoys building cross-functional relationships and working toward shared goals.
Our benefits include:
- Share options.
- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays (increasing to 30 the longer you stay with Numan).
- Health insurance with Vitality.
- Electric car salary sacrifice scheme with Octopus.
- Enhanced maternity and parental leave.
- A day off on your Birthday!
- Nursery benefit provided by YellowNest.
- Employee assistance programme (access to therapy, financial planning and discounts).
- Generous pension (includes both employee and employer contributions).
- Flexible working options, including a dog-friendly office in Farringdon.
- Personal training and development budget via Learnerbly.
- Wellhub membership, giving you access to over 2,000 locations in the UK.
- Cycle to work scheme.
- Season ticket loan.
