As the Clinical Product Leader for Obesity, you will take ownership of how obesity care is designed and delivered at Numan — combining clinical expertise with product and operational insight to set strategy, shape models of care, and lead cross-functional teams. This leadership role ensures clinical integrity, embeds safeguards, patient education, and clear pathways into the product experience to deliver safe, scalable care.
Responsibilities
- Define and integrate the clinical strategy for obesity care, ensuring alignment with regulation, safety standards, and patient needs.
- Stay ahead of guidelines, emerging evidence, and innovations in obesity and metabolic health to inform product development.
- Provide leadership in obesity care within a digital health setting—partnering with Clinical Product and Clinical Operations to evolve models of care and translate them into scalable, safe, and effective workflows.
- Clarify clinical constraints and opportunities, ensuring product design reflects safety, effectiveness, and patient experience.
- Support teams to embed safeguards and patient education into new pathways, diagnostics, and decision-support tools.
- Own clinical outcome metrics at group level, including safety, eligibility, treatment initiation, and treatment outcomes.
Qualifications
- A valid medical license and substantial experience in clinical practice.
- Deep expertise in obesity, endocrinology, diabetes, or metabolic medicine, including hands-on experience prescribing and managing GLP-1s.
- Confidence navigating complex clinical decisions where evidence may be limited, drawing on research, expert consensus, and sound judgment.
- Proven track record designing and scaling clinical workflows in regulated healthcare environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of obesity care pathways and long-term metabolic/weight management strategies.
- Systems-oriented mindset integrating clinical safety, patient outcomes, and operational excellence.
- Innovative thinking to challenge conventional models of care and position Numan at the forefront of obesity treatment.
- Strong experience collaborating across functions and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate clinical reasoning and safety principles to diverse audiences.
- Comfort thriving in fast-paced, high-growth settings—balancing clinical rigour with pragmatic execution.
