The role
We are looking for a Head of Marketing Technology & Operations - a leadership role at the intersection of Marketing, Data, and Engineering. You will be responsible for designing and running the infrastructure, workflows, and automations that power Numan's marketing engine. From advanced tracking to AI-driven campaign orchestration, you will make Marketing faster, smarter, and more connected. Reporting directly to the CMO, you will work closely with marketing leaders, data science, product, and engineering teams to drive operational excellence and enable scalable, insight-led marketing automation.
You will be:
- Designing and owning the marketing technology stack, connecting CRM, analytics, and activation tools for seamless data flow and automation.
- Advancing event tracking, event-based optimisation, automation, and tagging setup to improve measurement and decision-making.
- Collaborating with Data teams to ensure marketing data is accurate, complete, reliable, relevant, timely, accessible, and actionable.
- Partnering with CRM and Growth teams to deploy trigger-based journeys, experimentation frameworks, and AI-driven campaign optimisation.
- Building conversion and CRO infrastructure to enable structured experimentation and data-led funnel improvements across channels.
- Developing a centralised, compliant audience framework to drive personalisation and cross-channel activation.
- Constantly exploring new tools, data opportunities, and AI applications to maintain Numan's competitive advantage.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Significant experience in Marketing Technology, Growth Engineering, or Marketing Operations.
- Strong technical background in data, solution, or growth engineering, with hands-on experience integrating systems via APIs, ETL processes, or custom automation.
- Technical proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Braze, Iterable), APIs, and data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with tagging tools (GTM, Amplitude), CDPs, and marketing automation tools.
- Fluency in analytics and data transformation, including SQL or Python, and the ability to self-serve on automation tasks.
- Experience leading MarTech roadmaps and implementing scalable automation.
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Curiosity, creativity, and a drive to build systems that transform marketing in a regulated environment.
It’s a bonus if you have:
- Experience in healthtech, fintech, or another regulated industry.
- Familiarity with AI-driven marketing tools and workflow automation.
Our benefits include:
- Share options.
- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays (increasing to 30 the longer you stay with Numan).
- Health insurance with Vitality.
- Enhanced maternity and parental leave.
- Nursery benefit provided by YellowNest.
- Employee assistance programme (access to therapy, financial planning and discounts).
- Generous pension (includes both employee and employer contributions).
- Flexible working options, including a dog-friendly office in Farringdon.
- Personal training and development budget via Learnerbly.
- Wellhub membership, giving you access to over 2,000 locations in the UK.
- Free office snacks including breakfast items, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
- Cycle to work scheme.
- Season ticket loan.
- % Discount on Numan products for your friends and family.
- Paid volunteering days.
- An additional 2 weeks off once you reach your 5th anniversary with Numan.
