Nulectrics Ltd is a growing electrical company based in Chippenham, Wiltshire, and we are looking for an experienced electrician to join our friendly and hardworking team. We carry out a wide range of electrical work across domestic, commercial and industrial environments, so the work is varied and no two days are necessarily the same. Our work includes general electrical installations, CCTV installations at car parks and other sites, solar installations and a variety of commercial and industrial projects. A good proportion of our work is also carried out across the UK, giving the right person the opportunity to work on a wide range of different projects and develop their experience.
The successful applicant will ideally have a minimum of 5 years' electrical experience and be confident working independently as well as part of a team. You will be expected to:
- Carry out electrical installation work to a high standard.
- Have a good working knowledge of BS 7671 / 18th Edition.
- Have good knowledge of electrical Inspection & Testing.
- Take pride in the quality, appearance and finish of your installations.
- Be reliable, punctual and have a good work ethic.
- Work well as part of a team while also being capable of working independently.
- Be comfortable working in customers' homes as well as commercial and industrial environments.
- Have a good knowledge of the local area.
- Be willing to travel when required.
- Be willing to continue developing your skills and knowledge.
- Represent the company professionally when working at customers' properties and sites.
The majority of our work is carried out locally; however, we also undertake projects across the UK. The role will occasionally require travel and overnight stays away from home, depending on the requirements of the work. When working away, you will normally be working as part of a team rather than on your own. We will always aim to provide as much notice as possible and, where practical, discuss the dates with you in advance to establish when is most convenient for you. The successful applicant must therefore be willing and able to travel and stay away from home when required, while understanding that we will make every reasonable effort to work around your availability where possible.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' electrical experience.
- Recognised UK electrical qualification, such as City & Guilds, EAL or equivalent.
- Up-to-date knowledge of BS 7671 / 18th Edition.
- Good knowledge of electrical Inspection & Testing.
- 2391 or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
- A keen eye for detail and pride in the quality of your work.
- Valid authorisation to work in the UK.
- Applicants must hold a recognised UK electrical qualification.
- IPAF qualification would be an advantage.
- Solar installation experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
- CCTV installation experience would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel and occasionally stay away from home when required.
Our base is in Chippenham, Wiltshire, and you will be expected to attend the company base most days. Applicants should therefore live within approximately 45 minutes' commuting distance of Chippenham. Please consider your daily commute before applying.
We provide:
- £38,400 – £48,000+ per year, depending on experience and suitability.
- Company van.
- Fuel card.
- Company pension.
- Optional overtime when available.
- Company tools/equipment as required, depending on existing personal tools.
- Full-time, permanent employment.
- Monday–Friday working.
- A varied workload across domestic, commercial and industrial projects.
- Opportunities to work on CCTV, solar and other specialist installations.
- Opportunities to work on projects across the UK.
- The opportunity to develop your skills and experience within a growing company.
- A friendly and hardworking team environment.
We are happy to discuss salary with the right candidate and will consider experience, qualifications, technical ability and overall suitability for the role.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to do a good job rather than simply get the job finished. You should be reliable, hardworking and have a good attitude towards both colleagues and customers. You should be comfortable working as part of a team, but also have the ability and confidence to work independently when required. If you are an experienced electrician looking for a varied role with a growing company, we would like to hear from you.
