Description of assignment:
As a Specialist Manager, you are responsible for delivery and performance. You will also provide advice and guidance within your specialism and will be a role model for Nuvia values and behaviours, which support our organisational culture and ways of working. A practicing quality professional with good knowledge and experience in the delivery of projects in a highly regulated industry.
Working within the business to ensure that business level quality requirements and improvements are identified and delivered effectively and to process, plus supporting to ensure projects and contracts within the organisation are managed within the bounds of the agreed procedures, and that project quality requirements are maintained.
Will be responsible for the management of the Projects Engineering & Decommissioning Business Line Project Quality Assurance and Quality Control team.
Reports to:
As part of the PE&D, the role reports into the Head of Project Management Office but will be expected to support both Business and Project level quality requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Proactively provide advice and guidance related to your areas of responsibility and/or expertise to external contacts/stakeholders and to colleagues.
- Engage with external contacts/stakeholders and colleagues to build effective relationships and reach mutually beneficial solutions.
- Ensure advice is actioned in a way, which achieves the required outcome.
- Develop others to provide advice and guidance to a high standard.
- Identify opportunities to increase our influence in key areas.
- Lead and contribute to business department to deliver objectives set out in the company business plan.
- Leading by example, ensure that teams that you manage or with whom you regularly engage operate in line with our approach and values.
- Review working practices in your area of responsibility to ensure that resource allocations are continuously optimised and deliver continuous improvement.
- Collect, collate, analyse and present sometimes complex information in line with requirements, policies and procedures.
- Identify any information gaps and take steps to resolve issues.
- Responsible for development of self and promoting and contributing to the development of employees who report to you, to deliver performance that has clear direction, accountability and responsibility.
- Responsible for ensuring all systems and/or databases in your area of responsibility are accurately maintained and quality checks are undertaken.
- Make recommendations for action where decisions are outside of delegated authority.
- Contribute to the achievement of our strategy offering feedback and ideas for continuous improvement, motivating other employees to contribute their ideas and feedback.
Profile Occupational Skills and Knowledge:
Degree or relevant experience in line with a Quality role and having affiliate status with a view to achieve a PCQI or Chartered status.

- Interact with all key stakeholders, Exec Members and/or P+L holders.
- Point of contact for external suppliers and 3rd parties related to specialism.
- Point of contact for the business on their specialism.
- Strong communicator and presentation skills.
- Able to provide specialist advice regarding Quality.
- Strategic decision making.
- Flexibility to travel to other UK offices and sites on occasion as necessary.
- Identify, report and advise on risks and opportunities associated with meeting Client regulatory and legal requirements and stakeholder expectations within a project.
