Description of the assignment:

Position – Process Lead

NUVIA UK's Technical Services & Consulting department is fast growing and offers hybrid opportunities across the country. We are building a multidisciplinary team to deliver a full range of talent to our clients. The role is to support the Request for Information (RFI) and Field Change Request (FCR) processes documented within projects. It involves managing the implementation of these processes, improving them, and aligning them with the new toolset, CALM.

BPSS clearance at basic level is required; prior clearance will not be transferable.

Responsibilities:

  • Fully understand the defined and practiced RFI & FCR processes, FCR KPIs & metrics.
  • Define and agree RFI KPIs & metrics.
  • Implement RFI metrics reporting and communication.
  • Establish an RFI stakeholder group and chair regular accountability meetings, explaining metrics, progress against KPIs, and maintaining an action log.
  • Chair the FCR weekly stakeholder accountability meetings, explaining metrics, progress against KPIs, and maintaining an action log.
  • Provide a monthly status report (progress against KPIs) for RFIs & FCRs presented at the Technical Directorate senior management meeting.
  • Achieve RFI KPIs.
  • Achieve FCR KPIs.
  • Develop the high-level FCR proposed process into a detailed process and obtain agreement from business stakeholders.
  • Review the RFI process and produce an improved high-level process with stakeholders.
  • Develop the high-level RFI proposed process into a detailed process and gain stakeholder agreement.
  • Update the RFI & FCR procedure, forms, register and metrics to align with the improved processes.
  • Produce an implementation plan for the RFI & FCR improvements.
  • Secure IMS agreement to the procedure, forms update and implementation plan.
  • Implement the implementation plan within the business.
  • Monitor and measure business performance improvement resulting from the process improvement.
  • Provide the RFI & FCR process definition to the CALM team to tool up the processes.
  • Produce and deliver a set of RFI & FCR requirements for the tool, obtaining agreement from the process owner.
  • Collaborate with the CALM team and business stakeholders to ensure the processes and requirements are achieved within the tool.
  • Test the tool against processes and requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Provide evidence to the process owner that the processes and requirements have been achieved and are deployable.
  • Ensure KPIs and metrics can be reported with minimal manual effort.
  • Deploy the tool within the business, ensuring new starters and leavers are processed.
  • Review the effectiveness of the CALM deployment and adjust as required.
  • Produce a lessons learned report detailing successes, challenges and recommendations for future processes.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Understanding of configuration management best practice.
  • Experience in using, implementing and improving RFI & FCR processes.
  • Experience with a PLM system (preferably Enovia).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Results and data driven approach.
  • Quality conscious.
  • Persistent.
  • Previous experience in the civil nuclear industry.
