At Nugi Technologies, we deliver custom software and digital infrastructure that help organisations compete globally. As a Solutions Architect Intern, you’ll sit at the intersection of requirements, data, and solution design to support live delivery squads while learning how scalable systems are shaped, documented, and shipped. You’ll contribute to discovery, documentation, modelling, and solution design across web/mobile and cloud projects. You’ll partner with product, engineering, design, and customer teams across our UK & Nigeria footprint to translate business goals into clear artefacts and actionable plans. This role is hands‑on and mentored: you will produce real deliverables (discovery notes, BRDs/PRDs, process maps, lightweight architecture blueprints, data flows, and API notes) and see how they guide delivery, integrations, privacy, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Join cross‑functional squads to support discovery, clarify scope, and align priorities.
- Capture and organise stakeholder inputs into discovery notes, meeting outcomes, and status updates.
- Draft and iterate BRDs/PRDs with clear acceptance criteria and success measures.
- Model current and future processes using light‑touch BPMN/UML and simple ‘as‑is/to‑be’ maps.
- Assist solution design with lightweight architecture views (context, data flows, integration points) and NFRs (security, performance, reliability).
- Support data tasks (Excel/Sheets, optional Power BI) to prepare tables, KPIs, and simple visuals for decision‑making.
- Contribute to API catalogs and integration outlines for web/mobile and cloud services, ensuring data‑privacy and security considerations are captured.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and customer success on demos, onboarding materials, and voice‑of‑customer insights.
Required Technical Skills – About You
- You are studying a relevant degree (Business Computing, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar).
- You are comfortable writing clear, structured documents (notes, summaries, BRD/PRD sections) with good version control hygiene.
- You have basic fluency with BA/SA tooling: stakeholder notes, user stories with acceptance criteria, process maps (BPMN), and simple UML diagrams.
- You have a working understanding of web and API concepts (HTTP, REST/GraphQL) and how systems exchange data.
- You are able to organise data in Excel/Sheets and communicate insights with simple charts or tables.
- You pay attention to privacy and security considerations when documenting processes, data flows, and integrations.
- You possess strong collaboration and communication skills; proactive, organised, and reliable in follow‑through.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Jira/Confluence (or similar) for tracking work and documenting decisions.
- Exposure to SQL basics for querying and validating sample data.
- Awareness of cloud fundamentals (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD concepts.
- Introductory experience with Power BI or Looker for lightweight dashboards.
- Interest in non‑functional requirements and simple quality scenarios.
Success Metrics (what good looks like)
- Timely, accurate discovery notes and meeting outcomes that unblock delivery squads.
- Well‑structured BRD/PRD sections that meet acceptance criteria and pass stakeholder review with minimal rework.
- Clear BPMN/UML and lightweight architecture views that help teams align on scope and interfaces.
- Consistent contribution to backlogs, demos, and positive feedback from mentors and stakeholders.
- A small portfolio by the end of the internship (artefacts, diagrams, data views) showing measurable growth.
Why Join Us?
- Real impact: Work on live client initiatives and see your artefacts influence delivery decisions.
- Own small but meaningful scopes end‑to‑end and present your work in team demos.
- Build a credible portfolio of BA/SA artefacts and architecture snapshots.
- Mentored growth: Regular 1:1s, and structured feedback checkpoints.
- Examples, templates, and reviews so you know what ‘good’ looks like.
- A simple 30–60–90 plan to pace your learning and contributions.
- Cross‑functional exposure: Collaborate with product, engineering, design, sales, and customer success across UK & Nigeria teams.
- Learn how requirements, data, and architecture come together to ship value.
- Develop the confidence to bridge business and technical stakeholders.
- Help organisations compete globally through practical, well‑designed solutions.
- Join a culture that values trust, clarity, and customer‑centric delivery.
- Gain experience with modern stacks and grounded engineering habits.
