We are seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to lead The Meadows—a specialist residential service supporting children and young people to thrive, grow, and reach their full potential.

About the Role

As Registered Manager you will have overall leadership and operational responsibility for the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where young people can flourish.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to a dedicated team.
  • Drive high-quality care delivery, supporting positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Ensure the home consistently meets and exceeds Ofsted standards.
  • Manage staffing, budgets, and occupancy to ensure a sustainable and effective service.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
  • Significant experience in children’s residential care or a similar provision.
  • Demonstrable leadership and management experience within a residential or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) & Quality Standards.
  • Strong understanding of Trauma‑informed care and child development.
  • Strong understanding of Social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Strong understanding of Safeguarding and inspection frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Strong organisational, reporting, and IT skills.
