NUGENT carries out large, complex MEP engineering project works in GB, NI & ROI with a workforce of 130 direct employees and 300 sub-contractors. Our determination & focus enable us to deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Heritage, Hospitality & Leisure, Life Sciences & Residential through our Major Projects, Facilities Management & Specialist Projects divisions. NUGENT is seeking to recruit an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to our Major Projects Department. You will be a motivated and reliable worker who brings enthusiasm and positivity to a team, and you should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. This role can be based within our Pomeroy or Belfast offices.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensuring projects / Contractual requirements are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Procurement of relevant plant, materials and Sub-Contractor packages.
  • Responsible for the project team, staff management, control of labour and their coordination.
  • Meeting with clients on a regular basis.
  • Liaise with the Client and Contractor on the project delivery.
  • Ordering and managing products / machinery for site.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have a clean driving license.
  • Applicants must either have an Electrical Engineering degree or other relevant qualification.
  • PC literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a ‘can-do’ approach to work and willingness to learn and assist.
  • Organised and disciplined in your planning and approach to work.
  • Work well and confidently as part of a team in a busy environment.
