We Are Recruiting: Activities Co-Ordinator

Location: Lime House, Lowton

Salary: £27,350.04 per annum, pro rata

Hours: 19.5 hours per week

About the Role

Are you a creative, compassionate, and enthusiastic individual who enjoys making a positive difference in people's lives? We are looking for an Activities Co-Ordinator to join our dedicated team and play a key role in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of residents within the elderly care home. This rewarding role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering a varied programme of engaging, meaningful and person-centred activities that support residents to remain active, connected, and fulfilled. You will create opportunities that promote social interaction, independence, dignity, and choice, while ensuring activities are tailored to individual needs, interests, and abilities. From arts and crafts, music and reminiscence sessions to celebrations, community engagement and one-to-one support, you will help residents enjoy each day to the fullest.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Planning and delivering a varied programme of activities that support residents' emotional, physical, social, spiritual, and cognitive wellbeing.
  • Organising group activities, themed events, celebrations, gentle exercise sessions, music activities, arts and crafts, games and community outings.
  • Supporting residents individually through meaningful one-to-one engagement and personalised activities.
  • Getting to know residents, their families and life histories to ensure activities reflect individual interests and preferences.
  • Encouraging participation and helping residents maintain hobbies, friendships, and community connections.
  • Working closely with care staff and other colleagues to ensure activities remain inclusive and person-centred.
  • Building positive relationships with volunteers, entertainers, community groups, and external organisations.
  • Maintaining activity records, attendance information, and feedback in line with home procedures.
  • Managing activity resources and budgets effectively while ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality requirements.

About You

  • Flexible in their approach to working hours, including occasional special events.

Previous experience within a care home, day service, community setting or activity-based role would be advantageous, particularly experience supporting older people or those living with dementia.
