We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pathway Lead to provide senior operational and quality leadership across Children and Families services, alongside Registered Manager responsibility for Marydale Lodge - Secure Children's Home. Reporting to the Head of Pathways, you will ensure services are safe, effective, well-led and inspection-ready, in line with Ofsted requirements, safeguarding legislation and commissioning standards. You will lead a culture of continuous improvement, professional accountability and person-centred, trauma-informed practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong operational leadership and line management to service leaders and teams
  • Act as Registered Manager for registered services, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations
  • Ensure services are inspection-ready and deliver consistently high-quality outcomes
  • Lead service improvement activity, governance, audits and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain oversight of safeguarding, incidents, statutory notifications and risk management
  • Manage service budgets and resources effectively
  • Develop, support and performance-manage staff teams, promoting learning and accountability
  • Work collaboratively with commissioners, regulators and partner agencies
  • Act on behalf of the Head of Pathways as required and participate in incident management arrangements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
  • Significant experience working in children's and/or family social care services
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience of service improvement, quality assurance and people management
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or an equivalent leadership position
  • Ability to work flexibly, including on-call duties
