Role: Support Worker with Activities Location of role: Margaret Roper House & Ainsdale Community Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour Hours: Contracts available 19 Hours or 39 Hours Role Description: We are excited to announce that we are seeking experienced support workers for Margaret Roper House in Southport. This facility offers a nurturing, home-like environment for adults facing ongoing mental and physical health challenges. Margaret Roper House, along with Ainsdale Care in the Community, is part of Nugent, dedicated to providing compassionate support and high-quality care to vulnerable adults with long-term mental health issues. Our goal is to empower individuals by creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that respects their dignity and rights. The Support Worker with Activities will be instrumental across all Ainsdale locations, responsible for organizing personalized daily activities while providing emotional and physical support to residents. This role is essential in helping individuals transition towards independent living with the necessary support. Experience and skills: * The ideal candidate for the Support Worker position will possess effective communication and organisational skills, ideally with a valid driving license to operate the home\’s transport. * They should have relevant experience working with vulnerable adults, a basic understanding of care standards but not essential and a commitment to completing the Care Certificate within 12 weeks. * Personal qualities such as compassion, empathy, reliability, and a dedication to ongoing training are essential. * The candidate must respect residents\’ dignity and individuality while fostering a warm and supportive environment, aligning with Nugent\’s values of integrity, compassion, and respect. * The candidate must be able to work on a rolling rota basis inclusive of weekends.
