Hiring Event – Marydale Lodge Hours of work: We have full time (38 hours), part time (19 hours) and relief (ad hoc) roles available (Waking Nights) Location of role: St Helens, Merseyside Rate of Pay: £25,905.73 - £28,410.65 per annum We are thrilled to announce an upcoming hiring event at Marydale, offering a wonderful opportunity for those interested in becoming Secure Childcare workers in a challenging yet fulfilling environment. We seek dedicated individuals who can work night shifts and provide exceptional care to children and young people, ensuring they are treated with kindness and respect. At the event, you will learn about Nugent\'s mission, participate in two assessments, and proceed to the interview stage. Date: Wednesday 29th October 2025 Morning Session: 09:30- 12:00 Afternoon: 13:00-15:30 Experience and Skills: * Will be able to demonstrate their ability to showcase our core values in their work with the young people, treating everybody with dignity and showing courage in the face of challenging behaviour. * Hold a Level 3 Diploma for residential childcare (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards this * Demonstrate a commitment to support and care for vulnerable and traumatised young people * Engage in good childcare practice * Recognise and set limits of behaviour and provide controls to traumatised and vulnerable young people. * Handle emotional and physical conflict. * Respond quickly and appropriately to crisis situations and to use initiative (We are unable to offer Sponsorship)
