19.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern
- Week 1 Monday & Tuesday 17:00 to 00:00 - Saturday 19:00 to 02:00
- Week 2 Tuesday & Friday 06:00 to 13:00 - Sunday 17:00 to 00:00
All shifts include a 30-minute break (unpaid).
Between 7pm and 7am hours are paid at 30% enhancement rate, and weekends at 20%. Bank Holidays paid as double time if required with time back in lieu.
Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Process Medical instruments for surgical operations
- Learn the importance of sterile instruments from start to finish
- Help to ensure all instruments are in good working order and learn all their names and uses
- Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
- Take action to resolve any problems
- Escalate issues where necessary
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures
- Work with a highly skilled team
