As our National NHS Services Manager (Business Development), you'll play a key role in driving NHS activity, revenue growth and operational excellence across our hospital network.
Working closely with hospital leaders, NHS stakeholders and central support teams, you'll ideally provide expert guidance on NHS commissioning, contracting and performance, helping identify growth opportunities, improve processes and strengthen strategic NHS partnerships across the charity, with a crucial understanding of how to develop business.
Responsibilities
As our National NHS Services Manager (Business Development), you will
- Drive NHS activity, revenue growth and market share across our hospitals, using data and insight to identify opportunities and working with local hospital teams to support local delivery.
- Support annual NHS commissioning and contracting cycles, including contract negotiations, governance and risk management.
- Provide expert advice on NHS commissioning, contracting, payment systems and operational best practice.
- Support development and implementation of NHS data quality standards and performance reporting that support effective decision-making and revenue optimisation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with NHS England, ICBs, NHS Trusts and other key stakeholders to support partnership growth.
- Support national projects, bids and tenders, ensuring successful implementation across hospital sites.
- Collaborate with operational, finance, revenue, IT and data teams to improve NHS processes and deliver positive commercial outcomes.
Requirements
- Significant experience of NHS commissioning, contracting and relationship management, ideally within an Independent Healthcare Provider or similar environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance data and identify opportunities to drive activity and revenue growth.
- Proven business development experience and a track record of building successful partnerships with complex stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively at both operational and strategic levels.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
