You’ll join our Pharmacy team as a technician, bringing relevant experience and a NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy services skills where you’ll become part of a knowledgeable team and support the efficient running of the service.

  • Job responsibilities
  • To monitor stock levels within the Pharmacy department to maintain appropriate stock levels
  • To assist with the procurement of pharmaceutical stock for the pharmacy and other departments using appropriate electronic systems
  • To receive goods in appropriately checking against purchase orders/delivery notes, dealing with issues/anomalies as they arise and escalating appropriately
  • To carry out dispensing of medicines accurately selecting the correct quantity of medicine required and assembling, labelling and processing them in a safe, efficient and timely manner
  • To provide day to day support and guidance to Pharmacy staff as appropriate
  • To effectively co-ordinate and undertake activities to support the efficient working of the pharmacy service£

Qualifications & Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills
  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Experience either within a hospital or community pharmacy.
  • SACT Passport beneficial
  • Good IT Skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy
  • Good communication skills
