As our Digital Product Owner - Digital Fitness, you will be accountable for turning the technical vision and programme OKRs into a clear technical roadmap, a prioritised backlog and well-defined integrations. You will work closely with the data, security, design, operations, clubs and our delivery partners to ensure the platform is built right, integrated properly and ready to launch safely.
As our Digital Product Owner - Digital Fitness, you will:
- Translate the programme’s strategic objectives and OKRs into technical product outcomes, roadmap priorities and delivery goals across the MMS, UCI and Salesforce.
- Own and continuously refine the technical backlog, prioritising by member value, OKR contribution, risk, effort and technical debt.
- Work effectively with strategic delivery partners and suppliers, setting clear expectations and ensuring that Nuffield Health receives measurable value from its investments.
- Own the data migration and cutover approach for member records, working with data, operations and compliance teams to protect data quality and avoid disruption to members and clubs.
- Set clear release-readiness criteria and quality thresholds, including test coverage, defect tolerance, rollback plans and monitoring, and make timely go or no-go recommendations.
- Facilitate sprint planning, refinement and reviews with internal and partner teams, keeping the focus on outcomes rather than output volume.
- Build trusted senior stakeholder relationships, explaining technical risks and options in plain language and challenging constructively where needed.
Experience and attributes:
- Significant experience as a Digital Product Owner, Digital Product Manager or equivalent on complex, high-volume customer-facing platforms.
- Good understanding of API-led integration, event-driven architecture, identity and customer data (including identity resolution and master data concepts) and cloud-based platforms.
- Experience with membership, subscription, booking or payments platforms. Experience in fitness, leisure or healthcare is a bonus.
- Experience of data migration or major platform replacement, including cutover planning and risk management.
- Demonstrable ability to balance revenue driving features with vulnerability management, maintenance and technical debt reduction.
- Familiarity with Agile methods (Scrum or Kanban) and with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Proven ability to manage suppliers and hold partners to account for quality and delivery.
- Excellent communicator who can engage and influence people at all levels, from engineers to senior leaders.
- An interest and excitement about AI and how it can improve the way we work.
