Our Physiotherapy team in our York Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to support our Pelvic Health Service. As a Senior Physiotherapist at our York Hospital, you’ll have an active Health and Care Professions Council registration along with a CPD portfolio evidencing experience and further professional training in Pelvic Health. Working as an autonomous practitioner you will see a wide range of pelvic health conditions and pre and post operative cases, playing a key role in helping our patients achieve, maintain and recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to. You will work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHPS and consultants in order to optimise the health and recovery of our patients.

Also as a Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist you will:

  • Undertake assessments in patients presenting often complex pelvic health conditions.
  • Appropriately identify patients who require onward referral to consultants including the use of internal escalation pathways for patients presenting with serious pathology.
  • Undertake treatment underpinned by extensive clinical knowledge and skills to deliver high quality patient outcomes.
  • Maintain relevant clinical skills and provide on-going evidence of personal CPD and Professional registration.
  • Manage complex face to face caseload effectively ensuring cases are discharged appropriately on systems.
  • Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
  • Be a competent and confident IT user with strong organisation skills.

Whilst working at Nuffield Health York Hospital you will be supported by our national Pelvic Health Lead Physiotherapist and Physiotherapy Manager and have access to a peer support group of Pelvic Health Physiotherapists via Teams. Within this role there is an exciting opportunity to develop and shape the service we offer our pelvic health patients. Evidence of experience in service development would be advantageous.
