Senior Staff Nurse

Nuffield Health Barts Hospital | Outpatients | BANK

Up to £25 per hour depending on experience

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Senior Staff Nurse at our hospital, you\'re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will:

  • Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring
  • Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
  • Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient\'s needs
  • Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students
  • Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training

This is our flagship center for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynecology and urology services.

Our hospital consists of 55 beds, including 7 Specialist intensive care beds, four of the most advanced digital operating theatres and Endoscopy and minor ops theatre. With 28 consultation rooms, a cardiac catheterisation lab, Oncology Day unit and full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray.
