As a Senior Staff Nurse - Oncology at Brighton Hospital, you will be registered with the appropriate governing body (e.g., NMC) and possess relevant qualifications and experience. This includes post-registration experience, knowledge of mentoring, and familiarity with multi-specialty surgical procedures. Qualifications in teaching, assessment, and management are desirable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Having a completed UKONS SACT passport.
  • Proficiency in cannulation, venepuncture, and accessing CVADs.
  • Leading by example and embodying the Nuffield Health way of caring.
  • Mentoring and nurturing junior colleagues to reach their potential.
  • Applying excellent clinical skills and empathetic care to meet patient needs.
  • Making autonomous decisions to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Supervising junior nursing staff and students on a day-to-day basis.
  • Contributing to scheduling, recruitment, induction, performance reviews, and training.
