Senior Staff Nurse – Oncology (Bank)

Up to £26.00 per hour depending on experience

As a Senior Staff Nurse – Oncology at our Brighton Hospital, you\’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

As a Senior Staff Nurse – Oncology, you will:

  • Have a completed UKONS SACT passport.

  • Be proficient in cannulation and venepuncture and able to access CVAD\’s.

  • Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring.

  • Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be.

  • Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient\’s needs.

  • Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care.

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students.

  • Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training.

Our facilities include 44 purpose built en-suite rooms, three operating theatres and an endoscopy theatre. Other facilities include physiotherapy, health screening, diagnostics and a dental suite. We are located in Woodingdean, on the east side of Brighton with easy access by rail and road, including free parking.
