Senior Specialist MRI Radiographer

Shift patterns can be discussed at interview stage

Current shift patterns consist of: 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday - A degree of flexibility is sometimes needed to ensure we are able to cater for the elite sporting community we service this may include occasional out of hours or on-call provision

The Manchester Institute of Health and Performance, or MIHPs as its known, is a world-class healthcare facility, combining modern diagnostic technology, sports medicine and education — all on one location.

As a Senior MRI Radiographer at the Manchester Institute of Health and performance , you’ll bring a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent) and a postgraduate qualification. Experience in Cardiac MR is desirable.

But what’s vital is your caring nature. Seeing patients as people, you offer understanding and empathy.

As a Senior Specialist Radiographer, you will:

  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload, including MRI, Cardiac MRI and X-ray
  • Support DEXA modalities if appropriate.
  • Collaborate with leading practitioners and experience new practices, equipment and facilities
  • Enjoy scoping and developing policies and procedures
  • Supervise and develop junior team members
  • Provide a service of the highest quality, with flexibility, with sensitivity and compassion

Essential attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years MRI experience.
  • Willingness to support multi-modalities.
  • Ability to work flexibly within a small team, including cross site working.
  • Ability to manage own workflow.

Desirable attributes:

  • Experience in Cardiac MRI and Dexa (training can be provided).
  • Experience or understanding of private healthcare requirements.
  • Computer literacy in a wide range of Radiology IT systems.
