You’ll enjoy a varied range of responsibilities – from performing biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, through to quality control and keeping records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables. What’s more, you’ll help us to validate and assess new equipment and develop new diagnostic procedures, as part of our ongoing quest to deliver the very best experience possible for patients. It is essential you’re registered with the HCPC and have relevant laboratory experience in Histopathology. You’ll bring to the role good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of multi-disciplinary techniques. A great communicator and team player, you understand how vital it is to maintain good customer relationships and provide high levels of service in a modern pathology laboratory.As a Senior Biomedical Scientist you will;Deliver a high quality histology servicePerform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, through to quality control.Keep records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables.Support the organisation in validating and assessing new equipment and developing new diagnostic procedures.The PersonTo succeed as a Senior Biomedical Scientist you will have;Relevant laboratory experience in Histopathology, multi-disciplinary biomedical science experience is an advantage, however training will be provided.Good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of multi-disciplinary techniques.Great communication skillsAbility to work well both within a small team and aloneThe ability to understand how vital it is to maintain good customer relationships and provide a high levels of service within a modern pathology laboratory.Helping you feel goodWe want you to love coming to work, feeling healthy, happy and valued.
