As the Radiology Manager at our Plymouth Hospital, you will be working in a multidisciplinary team as a clinical leader ensuring delivery of high quality, safe and technically accurate Diagnostic Imaging services. Fostering front line leadership framework with your team, ensuring the services are managed safely and seamlessly, underpinned by Nuffield Health’s robust company framework with regards to clinical governance, current legislation, and professional standards. As a HCPC registrant, with a passion for quality improvement and patient initiatives with patient centred care as a priority, ready to shape the future at Plymouth.

The Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is situated next to the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym, in Derriford, Plymouth and we have been part of the Plymouth community since 1971.
Our Diagnostic imaging department responsibilities consist of plain film studies for our inpatients, out patients and external referrals, theatre lists, general and MSK ultrasound clinics and fluoroscopy. We have a mobile CT service several times a month and Mobile MRI service several times a week. This service is currently managed by a third party but as Head of Department you would have overall responsibility for this service. We have three main theatres and a minor ops theatre. Two of the main theatres have laminar flow and the majority of the orthopaedic and spinal surgery is carried out in these. Our outpatients department has 12 consulting rooms. We carry out treatment under a range of specialities including Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery. We recently were rated in the top 50 hospitals in the country for our total hip replacement patient outcomes.
