As a General Hospital Porter at our Nuffield Health Manor Hospital, youâll need to be a good communicator, as this role involves helping our patients to feel relaxed and reassured, before and after surgery. Itâs also essential that youâre happy to undergo our Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, as part of your application.
As a General Hospital Porter, you will:
- Management of waste streams Ő˝ŐşŐĄŐ˝ clinical, domestic, recycling, special
- Security checks (early morning opening, evening lockdown, and ad hoc)
- Controlling access to the basement car park
- Managing of patient transfers between departments
- Managing of both internal and external post (including Ů Ů recording of postal use by onâsite third parties)
- Maintain the external environment to a high standard (including the basement car park)
- Moving furniture, equipment, medical gases to departments
To support the Head Porter and Facilities Manager to ensure that the third 모 party facilities providers are delivering to the agreed levels of service.
