As an MRI Radiographer at our Glasgow Hospital, you’ll have a BSc degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification is desirable, an SOR IV cannulation certificate and MRI experience, as well as the ability to work accurately and compassionately.
The ideal candidate is someone who can work effectively, both in a team and independently, providing high‑quality, patient‑centred imaging services. You must also have a reasonably good amount of availability through the week and be flexible with what hours you can offer.
Please note, this is not a training opportunity. Only those candidates who have the experience required will be shortlisted.
Responsibilities
- See each patient as an individual, offering understanding and empathy.
- Work without supervision when required to perform high‑quality diagnostic examinations in a diverse range of MRI procedures whilst observing the current MRI local rules.
- Assist the MRI Lead Radiographer with the day‑to‑day operational management of the MRI Department, being responsible for the smooth running of the MRI scanning list.
- Participate in developing the service and in putting new radiographers through training.
- Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.
