As an HSSU Coordinator at our Chichester Hospital you’ll combine basic computer literacy with strong organisation skills. From processing used surgical instruments for dispatch to receiving sterile surgical equipment and supporting our friendly theatre team – you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly.
As an HSSU Coordinator, you will:
- Move and handle trays and items of various weights and sizes
- Maintain accurate records and keep documentation up to date
- Dispose of contaminated waste in accordance with hospital policy
- Regularly check that our equipment is in good working order and all faults are reported
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
- Take action to rectify any problems and escalate issues where necessary

About Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital: Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30 bedded hospital within walking distance of the city centre with free onsite car parking. The hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres and two minor treatment rooms in the outpatient department. There is a small radiology department and CT/ MRI services are provided in a mobile unit. Inpatient physiotherapy is provided within the hospital whilst our outpatients attend the fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester gate for their follow up physio and hydrotherapy treatments.
Our main speciality is orthopaedics. We also care for patients needing treatment within the specialties of gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology max fax, and pain. We provide outpatient services for dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and rheumatology.
