We’ve invested in state‑of‑the‑art equipment and we’ve just welcomed our new Diagnostic Imaging Director into their crucial role. A chance to be a part of a dynamic radiology department, assisting with a range of radio‑logical examinations. As a Radiology Assistant you will:
- Assist patients throughout their time within the department and preparing patients prior to their imaging.
- Assist the Radiographers in maintaining an efficient daily work list and workflow of patients.
- Assist Radiologists in carrying out radiological examinations / chaperoning patients in ultrasound.
- Prepare the clinical rooms prior to imaging procedures, ensuring everything is ready, clean and tidy.
- Deal with service user queries and patient appointments using Radiology IT systems.
- Be responsible for stock maintenance and ordering.
- Deal with patient image transfer to and from other health institutions.
Qualifications and attributes:
- Experience within a Radiology department is an advantage, assisting with fluoroscopy and US procedures in particular. Training is provided.
- NVQ Level 3 in a health‑related subject.
- Be caring and empathetic.
