Nuffield Health is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (Desktop/Endpoint) for an exciting programme of work within the Employee, Infrastructure and Data technology unit, to join us on a fixed term contract until the end of 2025. The Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in supporting this by ensuring the seamless operation, rollout, and maintenance of Windows 10 and Windows 11 infrastructure. You will be responsible for assisting in the management of key elements of our desktop environment, including SCCM, InTune, Group Policy, and ensuring smooth transitions as we roll out Windows 11 across the organization. You will also bring your fault-finding and resolution skills to ensure the infrastructure operates at its peak, delivering secure, stable, and high-performance solutions.
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Infrastructure Engineer with a strong track record in Operating system upgrades / Programmes, or large-scale technology projects. You will bring a strategic mindset, ability to collaborate effectively and drive complex initiatives to successful completion. Experience in healthcare would be a bonus – but a passion for delivering fast-paced change in a complex estate is what we’re looking for.
As our Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll bring:
- Demonstrable experience of a Windows upgrade rollout
- Skills of using SCCM and Intune to manage an environment – including deploying software, patches and updates.
- Experience of configuring and managing Group Policies
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, employing effective fault-finding skills to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune policies and configuration, as well as familiarity with Windows 365, is required as we run in a hybrid environment.
- 2nd and 3rd Line Support tickets relating to Modern Workplace issues
- Improve user satisfaction by ensuring that support requests are handled efficiently, politely, professionally and in an empathetic manner
- Provide technical support for the Operations and Service Desk teams.
- Ensure that full systems documentation is produced and maintained
