We are seeking a Clinical Leader for our hospital to help us build a healthier nation. You should be registered with the appropriate governing body and have relevant qualifications and post-registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. Strong clinical leadership skills are essential to guide your team with a shared vision promoting innovation and sustainability. Good communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team are required. Knowledge of running a smooth and effective department and familiarity with equipment are also important.

As our Clinical Leader, you will:

  • Organize and lead the Clinical/Surgical and Endoscopy teams within the theatre, ensuring smooth running of theatre lists, managing booking forms, and assisting during theatre sessions.
  • Collaborate flexibly across theatre suites to meet the service demands of departments such as Endoscopy, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Gynaecology.
  • Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety, quality improvement, and adherence to policies and procedures to enhance patient care and service delivery.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of audits and equipment management.
  • Demonstrate understanding of surgical techniques and related equipment.
  • Opportunities for continuous growth and development, including Surgical First Assist training, are available.
