Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and deliver both live‑stream and in‑person group exercise classes for people with varying degrees of ability and physical function.
  • Promote self‑directed activity by using pre‑recorded on‑demand classes and a journal to support participants in self‑managing their condition after the 12‑week programme.
  • Re‑calibrate exercises and intensities based on regular improvements in effort and performance.
  • Identify any deterioration in participants and, if necessary, follow internal escalation processes, ensuring reporting is processed within the required timeframe and outcome data is accurately captured to support our charitable purpose and track participant progress.
  • Engage in 1‑to‑1 telephone conversations each week with every participant to offer coaching on setting short‑term and long‑term goals, understanding restrictions, monitoring progress, providing emotional wellbeing support, and empowering self‑directed activity.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills, excellent communication, organisational and self‑motivated.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Hold a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience working in a Rehabilitation Specialist position and an understanding of rehabilitation (desired).
  • Possessing a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation is desirable, not essential.
  • Problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Organisational ability, effective decision‑making, time and resource management.
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults.
  • Qualifications showing good English and numerical skills.
