Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time ultrasound imaging to support vascular surgical procedures in theatre.
- Assist the vascular surgeon in identifying vessels, mapping veins, and guiding interventions.
- Ensure all imaging equipment is prepared, safe, and functioning correctly before procedures.
- Work as part of the multidisciplinary theatre team, supporting safe and efficient patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of imaging and contribute to patient records in line with policy.
- Comply with local infection prevention, radiation protection (if applicable), and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in relevant training and maintain competencies for theatre-based vascular ultrasound.
Required Qualifications / Experience
- HCPC-registered Sonographer (or equivalent qualification).
- Demonstrated experience in vascular ultrasound.
- Previous experience in a theatre or interventional setting (desirable but not essential).
