Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital is offering a permanent, full-time position with a salary of up to £47,500 depending on experience, working 37.5 hours per week.

As a Senior Radiographer at our hospital, you will need:

  • A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).
  • Registration with the HCPC.
  • A postgraduate qualification and high levels of technical knowledge.
  • Ideally, Radiation Protection Supervisor training and qualification.
  • The ability to work accurately and compassionately.

As an MRI/CT Radiographer, you will:

  • Have experience in a wide variety of MRI scans, including Cardiac MRI and/or CT (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrate an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike.
  • Be respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Have a proactive and forward-thinking approach to work.
  • Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.
  • Being highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
  • Working with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment, and facilities.
  • Supervising and developing junior colleagues.
  • Being responsible for MRI safety in line with local rules.
  • Working within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.
  • Participating in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programmes.
  • Providing support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
  • Ensuring equipment is safe and fit for purpose and reporting faults in line with Nuffield Health policy.
  • Having competency in intravenous cannulation and administration of contrast media (essential).
  • Providing input to the review, update, and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
  • Complying with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining all records in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Participating in on-call rota.
