As a Staff Nurse in our hospital, you’ll be alert, focused, detail-oriented and empathetic.You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. With post-registration experience, you’re a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.

As a Ward Staff Nurse, you will:

  • Join a close-knit team headed by our matron on our consultant-led ward

  • Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient’s needs

Supported by our Ward Manager, you’ll have autonomy to utilise your acquired expertise and skills to make decisions that will ensure the delivery of excellent patient care. The work is exciting, varied and challenging, the multiple specialities will enable you to develop new skills and grow. We actively support you to be the best you can be in your role while also offering opportunities to progress.

Shrewsbury hospital, ranked as \’Good\’ in the last CQC inspection, is purpose built and well equipped with 24 en -suite bedrooms, 3 operating theatres, an endoscopy suite, an Ambulatory Care Unit , Ward, Pre operative assessment and a busy outpatients department which includes physiotherapy and diagnostic imaging. Our diagnostic provision includes X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI and CT facilities. We offer the most up to date surgical treatments combined with a warm welcome and a professional and caring service from our matron-led nursing team. We specialise in the areas of orthopaedics, ophthalmology and women\’s health, but also undertake general surgery, urology, and interventions for chronic pain management.
